Seasoned Yam Fries

Ingredients (one full meal serving for one person):
3 pounds of yams (about 5-7 yams depending on size)
1 tsp crumbled dried sage
1 tsp minced rosemary
1 tsp Bragg’s nutritional yeast (why Bragg’s?)
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp black pepper
1 tsp roasted onion powder
1 tsp garlic powder

Any spices can be used instead of those listed, but the ones I listed are my personal favorites.  Do not add oil or salt.

Instructions:

1.  Peel and rinse yams and cut into thick wedges, about 8 wedges per yam.

2.  Boil yam wedges in a large stock pot until just tender but not too mushy.

3.  Sprinkle half of the spices onto a large pizza stone, skillet, or other large flat surface that can be placed under a broiler.

4.  Place yams on baking surface and sprinkle with remaining spices.

5.  Put directly under broiler for approximately 10 to 20 minutes, turning halfway through cooking until crisp or charred on both sides.

Drink between 16-32 ounces of water before eating.
